I have no opinion on this, but it's right between a jail, the courts, and a police station. Grim neighbourhood. Would have to be totally affordable.

I don't think I'd call that a grim neighbourhood. It's a 3 minute walk to the wellington and Abuelita's. I get that the Liquour store and the other side of it could be classified as "half grim"? haha

It's a fine neighbourhood, in fact you could make the exact same list the other way around: It's right between an arts centre and gallery, a large concert and sport venue, and a major regional employer's head offices.

IDK....The police station and court house are hardly objectional and I don't think a few holding cells in the police station qualify as a "jail" the way Old Black River Road does. In any event it's a far better area than Waterloo St and development is happening there.

The Parrtown Community Correctional Centre (halfway house next door) is what I was talking about. Should have been more specific.

It's just a pretty institutional area. I don't know how well market rate units would do there. I don't think it's super bad or anything. All the more power to anyone building affordable there, if it's economically feasible.

That is a valid point about the halfway house. Doesn't make for the best of neighbours.

Realize this is an existing structure being re-purposed as apartments but man, I really wish this was the design for 99 King. *sigh.

I think this is the same building Ta-ke Sushi is in? I hope that’s not going anywhere. I guess it’s the building beside it… also a nice building. Would be nice to see a small grocery store or something in the ground floor.

I believe Ta-Ke is in the building next door; this building didn't have any ground-floor retail in it previously.
