They are a warehouse operation, and they use the traditional courier companies, Canada Post, as well as trucking companies. They don't have their own drivers.

Looks like it's finally going to open. It'll be such a boon for the complex. I imagine we'll see some more business moving in this year too.

Looks like they finally got around to installing the drywall for the Hard Rock Hotel rooms fronting Dundas St. Although they appear to still have alot of work left on getting the hotel ready to open.

Hardrock hotel opening soon, Children's museum opening soon. It's going to be a huge shot in the arm for the shops, restaurants, and bars. Can't wait to see what further development comes in as a result.

I am curious where the guests for the Hard Rock Hotel are coming from. Presumably they aren't business travellers. Are there actually tourists that stay overnight in London (other than those visiting family and friends)?

I think it will do fine with sports tourism. Especially hockey given how busy the 4 plex is just to the west with out of town tournaments. I'm not sure how London is with summer time sports anymore. I think the hotel itself will be a bit of a draw and the complex it's in and the casino up the road helps. I think for a while, it will compete for some business travelers as well, simply because it's new and will have a "niceness" to it, not like most of the downtown hotels which are pretty old and who knows how renovated many of them are. Definitely will be interesting to see how it's received and how long the second phase takes to open.

Ah, yes of course. Sports tourism makes total sense. How could I forget. My wife's best friend (who live in T.O.) is down here every second month for hockey tournaments for one of her daughters.

A lot of stuff at the "Hard Rock" is neither "hard" or "rock"

I kinda think of it as the old Wheels Inn. It's a place just to chill for a day or two. There are so many things just in the factory area that it warrants a weekend escape.
