YONKERS | 143-151 Woodworth Avenue | FT | 36 X 2 FLOORS (1600 Units)

Review Process Underway for 143-151 Woodworth Avenue in Yonkers, New York

Quote:
A proposed two-tower residential development may soon become a reality at 143-151 Woodworth Avenue in Yonkers, New York. Designed by INOA Architecture and developed by TCP Realty LLC, the proposed complex recently went through the Zoning Board of Appeals last Wednesday evening at Yonkers City Hall, and is currently under review. The master plan calls for two 36-story structures yielding approximately 1,600 units. The site is located along Woodworth Avenue on an interior lot between Lamartine Avenue to the north and Babcock Place to the south.

The renderings above and below depict the sleek matching towers with glass curtain walls and striated bands of horizontal metal paneling. Both buildings rest atop a multistory podium featuring an amorphous, beveled form with contrasting white finished concrete and cutouts enclosed with dark windows. The podium roof deck features lush landscaping and an outdoor swimming pool, and the towers are capped with trapezoidal mechanical crowns that appear to be lined with vertical ventilation grilles. The parking garage entrance is positioned at the northeast end of the base.

This is nice, though I would try to orient the views more towards the Hudson and the Palisades.
