Alphonce seems to be the master of the 7-storey Halifax box apartment.

ANS article today on Metatron Development's plans. They are wrapping up work at the second building on Richmond Street (Dartmouth). Their next project is a 8 Floor - 168 Unit project on a flag lot behind Ship Victory accessed off of Windmill Road (there is a rendering). Most interesting is their in development project. A 15-storey building at 58 Lakecrest Drive. This was a commercial building that was demolished last year. They also just bought an unspecified lot on Bayers Road.

MILLENIA SUITES (2621 CLIFTON) has been upsized to 10 Floors and 65 Units. New renderings are on site;

There has been a large number of projects getting upsized in the last few months. This shows confidence in Halifax's economy.

I was thinking the setting looks more like rural Sweden than downtown HFX...

Those may be more like spaghetti boxes. Not many units for the number of floors.

These are filling some of the vacant lots created Tsimiklas brothers. Interesting that the Gottingen one is narrow lot that was maybe 8 units at most. Now 26

Via local area councillor, 60 units proposed on Dutch Village Road

Quote:
The owners of 3480 Dutch Village Road are planning to construct a 60-unit residential building at the site (the former Scotiabank). HRM has granted a variance to allow 78% lot coverage rather than the currently permitted 75%. They have also been granted a 1 metre variance for the setback street walls.

These changes will not impede the new sidewalk on Dutch Village Road.
If you wish to appeal you can do so on or before March 17 by writing to [email protected] or Municipal Clerk, Halifax Regional Municipality, PO Box 1749, Halifax, NS, B3J 3A5.

And way down in the South End ... EIGHTEEN PARK - 8 FLOORS - 55 UNITS

How do you get only 5 units with 8 floors?

The crane is now up for "The Samuel". First crane of many, I am sure, in or near Strawberry Hill (this is not part of that development and a bit out of the radius, but close!)
