Tower 2 Walk Through

Any high level owner (45+) done or scheduled any walk through?
What is the usual timeline for closing, getting key and move in?

I think 30 something and below are moving in. I saw 6 elevators. Three for the lower floors and three for the upper floors. The upper floors look to be still being worked on because the upper floor elevators are completely covered with cardboard and tape with trades ppl coming in and out.

From FB forums it looks like some people have a mid January walk through scheduled for floors 48 and 49. However, this does not appear inclusive for everyone on these floors.

I was waiting for one more update from mcminsen before posting this final gif of this project.
In mcminsen's last posting Post #2394 July 25, 2024 there was a little construction on the roof, elevator machine room and/or mechanical room not cladded yet.

Feb 2022 to July 2024

Sounds like all three towers have occupancy, I propose to change Phase 1 to completed.

It's certainly not a flattering angle that the shot shows them in - with the shadow of one falling on the other, and the emphasis of the units in one tower looking directly at the other tower's units.

The black/dark spandrel (which I'm normally a fan of) also doesn't help in those same regards.

So when can we expect the first floor to be opened finally? There are a number of retailers signed up from T&T, hot pot restaurant to KFC and more. Yet there seems to be no movement there whatsoever when I go by it. It's just empty and fenced off. I've noticed this sort of super long wait for a variety of reasons in recent years both with Popeyes chicken in metrotown to the variety of "Coming Soon" stores in Brentwood. What's going on with these years-long process to open a store here?

There's like a nail salon place there too that's gotta be at least over a year of "coming soon" as well. Also approaching a year is the donut place "coming soon" as well.

CRU 203 would have been good for London Drugs if they wanted to move out of Amazing Brentwood.
Those large spaces would be great for any of the TJX brands (Winners, etc.),
but are there escalators to any of the levels to get up from the SkyTrain plaza?
I could see a fitness centre on the 3rd level, but Gilmore Place's amenities are so massive that residents don't need it.

I don't see a problem for the retail being taken up. Just see Marine Gateway and New Westminster stations: I believe the retail units are all occupied, although I must admit those stations provide better conditions for retailers to do well. If Gilmore station becomes a transit exchange, there will be an even higher foot passenger volume.

From the rendering flythrough video it seems like it's mostly staircases going up to level 3 (and the elevators)

Pure speculation, but for some reason at Gilmore and Dawson Burnaby has installed 4 bus shelters instead of the single bus shelter that existed before development began. Perhaps they're planning for more/bigger busses?

As for escalators, I don't think there's a single one but the elevator situation seems much better than at Marine Gateway.

Seems like it was supposed to be a signature bus shelter.

The bounding streets of Lougheed Highway and Gilmore Avenue will be developed with separated bicycle and pedestrian facilities with a double row of street trees, and rainwater gardens. Pavement treatments include cut concrete sidewalks to remove barriers to accessibility. A signature bus shelter is proposed for the multi route bus stop location on Gilmore Avenue that covers the entire sidewalk and bicycle lane with specialized pavement treatment to raise awareness of multiple transportation modes within this
location. The bounding public streets will be the main routes for pedestrians, transit users and cyclists.
