I'm surprised anything is being proposed for The Terrace. I always assumed the site was mostly empty because of environmental restrictions/greenbelt proximity and the four buildings there were all we'd ever get.

I’m sure they’ll use a product like woodsafe or similar for cladding which is fire retardant for guaranteed periods of time. If you have flames that close to the building for longer than those periods then it generally doesn’t matter because the building will most likely be a full/partial loss from heat/smoke damage. But yes fire safety with the overgrown cedars has been grossly neglected in the hills west of town.
So glad to see that Easton Park finally has a bit more retail open now! There is a new McDonald's, car wash with colorful lights, and an Auto Zone next to the CVS. In a few years that new H-E-B will open across the street as well. They also recently added a traffic signal at the end of East Slaughter Lane where it used to be a bottle neck for rush hour traffic and repaved Thaxton road and Sassman road in that area. There's a sign at the end of Slaughter Lane that says Slaughter Lane/Easton Park is expanding. I'm not sure if they plan to eventually connect Slaughter lane all the way through to 183?
I understand that the colors Black, White and Gray are Still Popular. I am just getting overloaded with these Non Colors. I have recently seen Older Million Plus $$ homes with perfect Cut Limestone Block exteriors painted these colors. Just Why???
