The only way to make the financials work in a way that would not permanently ruin the beauty of the skyline (at least when we’re talking 600’+) is to incorporate high dollar units on the upper floors. West Campus is
never going to have a market for those units. Well, unless rich UT parents are willing to shell out for “investment” condos they can only sell to another set of future rich UT parents. Anybody sinking money for their kid into a 10k/month
apartment is… stupid.
Ergo, we’re likely to see at least one or two incredibly value engineered and tasteless 600’+ buildings.
