I guess it has to be something on the passenger side rather than cargo?

Maybe Porter is setting up a nice bus to Billy Bishop Airport?

Yes I have been trying to see if I can find anything, but crickets... Hope it is what you are speculating (plane service, not bus service!)

I wouldn't get too excited just yet. It could be anything --- and it might not be as meaningful as hoped.

It is interesting that the big red wall with the Play logo by the check-in counter has been painted (primed?) over. You can kind of see the old art poking through the whiteness. Play is still flying for a few more weeks. Are they prepping the surface for a new logo?

The other wall that was opposite Play wall was the Westjet banner and it's been painted over too. They must have wanted this covered up before the announcement tomorrow. I see there's a PCL construction container in the parking lot now. I looked them up and they build airport terminals.....makes the rumours seem more possible

PCL is a general contractor - they build all kinds of things. Could be anything, even something as simple as repaving the parking lot or something.

painting over the airline banners is a bit more interesting, but yes, could still be anything.

Sounds like it certainly isn't Westjet (I kid, I kid.) I wonder if they will start putting up the new paint job or logo over the primer today.

Glad we have eyes and ears on the ground! Exciting bit of spy work / scouting!

It's definitely Porter without a doubt.

They have a jet coming tomorrow morning from YYZ.

Well that is exciting, wonder how many routes and where to. Looks like Porter was happy to fill in the gap that Westjet left wide open, good for them and us.

I’m gonna leap with my prediction a little further, given how this is almost the most hyped upon airline/terminal announcement in a long time.

Maybe we’ll be home to one of the first porter lounges for its credit card… dreaming big.

Is the announcement two fold (new airline and terminal expansion) or just new airline? The article supplied earlier focuses mostly on the latter and just a few vague words about an expansion.

As far as we know it's Porter with terminal expansion.
