Tricar has now excavate the pit for whatever building they plan on eventually putting up here. No signs they have started the foundation as of yet and are probably waiting on permit for that work. Similarly they excavated the pit for the building they plan on Ridout St south a number of years ago and have not moved forward on that.

Would not be surprised they are switching this to rental apartments from condo as the new build condo market is dead right now. Will be interesting to see renders for this much shorter building and how they orient it on the property.

Just saw an ad for this on Facebook from Tricar.

They are marketing this as "The Grove" and yes they will be rentals

Tricar has been making progress with the foundation footings and are now putting in the rebar steel for a large floating raft slab foundation. Also appear to be getting the tower crane base ready. Should see a tower crane assembled very soon.

Looks like they have now got all the structural steel rebar installed for the floating raft foundation slab. Just scheduling now for multiple concrete pump trucks and a steady parade of cement trucks to keep them fed with concrete to complete this massive pour.

Here is an update from Tricar:

Big Day Tomorrow at The Grove Masonville! The site is prepped, and the crew is ready for a massive raft slab pour at 230 North Centre Road.

This massive concrete pour will total 4,500 cubic metres—the equivalent of 125 single-family home foundations—and will be completed in less than 15 hours. A fleet of 100 trucks will be in continuous operation, delivering 500 loads of concrete to the site.

A portion of Richmond Street will be closed for the day, and minor detours will be in place. Thank you for your patience.

Forming now started for the L2 walls in the NW corner of the pit and they already have some of the precast concrete L2 posts installed. Still using a mobile crane at this point with no signs of a tower crane being assembled as of yet.

They have made good progress installing the L2 level precast concrete walls and posts and forming for the poured sections. Still no signs of a tower crane being setup as of yet.

Work continues with the precast wall and post installs and the forming of the L2 level walls. Still using a mobile crane with no signs of a tower crane being setup for this 11s story building.

Probably the last new tower crane of 2024 has finally gone up for Tricar's 11s project. The L2 walls and posts are nearing completion and we will likely see the L1 precast floor slabs start being installed soon as well as the parking ramp. I believe this is only the 5th new tower crane to go up in 2024. Big difference from just a few years ago when I believe London had 20 tower cranes standing compared to the 11 tower cranes currently.

Almost done with the L1 precast concrete floor slab installs and have started installing some of the L1 precast concrete walls along the north side. Also have started backfilling the L2 walls along the Richmond St side. This building is setback against the hillside so will have extra challenges to deal with water runoff and drainage. Will be interesting to see how they design the SE corner driveway entrance and pedestrian access to the building with the low point being the SE corner. Not sure why there are no renders posted anywhere yet?

Now installing what some might call the 3rd floor walls in the NW corner. Although because of the slope of the hill this may actually be the first residential floor given they say there are 2 levels of underground parking. Would be interesting to see renders of this new Tricar building to get a sense of the footprint of this building.

Good to see render finally. Looks like this will have an L shaped footprint above the podium base overlooking the roads.

Nearly finished installing the 3rd floor? precast floor slabs. Some of the window modules are now installed as well in the podium of this 11s building.
