My impression may be dated....
Last time I was in a Peavey mart was probably 15 years ago in Saskatoon. I remember it being this weird hardware store that also included all those parts you would buy if you were a farmer, e.g. attachments for your tractor or contraptions to feed your chickens. I think the only thing I ever purchased in their was an extension cord.
My memory of Bargain Shop! goes back 20 years as the place in small town Ontario that are not big enough to a Walmart. Did they ever make their way into the city? In Western Canada, the equivalent would be Field's Department stores. I guess now that market will be dominated by Giant Tiger.
Perhaps I am missing something, I don't see how Peavey mart and the Bargain Shop! are remotely the same. Perhaps they both sell flannel plaid shirts. Other than that do they have anything else in common?
I should say, as an urban city dweller, i actually like warm flannel plaid shirts, they are just hard to find in the city. One has to venture out to small town Canada to find them.
