LOL. The city does have a few +500' buildings approved/planned around the Inner Harbor but honestly once you start getting over that height it becomes rather redundant from the ground so I'd personally much rather the city continue it's infill.

Speaking of infill, Phase II of Rash Field got approved and construction starts in the fall.

Maryland's governor, Wes Moore, announced the Red line (which was cancelled by Larry Hogan in 2015), will be light-rail.

The long road ahead for Baltimore’s revived Red Line

By Daniel Zawodny
28 June 2024
The Baltimore Banner

"Gov. Wes Moore and other officials gathered Friday to celebrate a decision to build a light rail line to connect East and West Baltimore. But officials must decide whether to build a tunnel under downtown and identify funds to cover the $3 billion to $7 billion price tag.

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott sported a red T-shirt emblazoned with the words “Red Line.” Holly Arnold, the administrator of the Maryland Transit Administration, showed up in a red dress.

And when Gov. Wes Moore delivered the words that those gathered wanted to hear — “The new Baltimore Red Line will run on light rail transit” — the red-dressed crowd erupted in applause..."

Does anyone here know if any of the skyscrapers that are proposed are planned to have an observation deck open to the public on the top floor considering that the Baltimore World Trade Center observation deck will be closing in May.

Nothing concrete. The city has a few 4-600’ buildings in the pipeline/wood works so who knows if one will include an observation deck.

On the actual construction side of things…

Baltimore opened of 4MLK today (~140’)

The Stoler Cancer Center is also deep into construction a few blocks to the east. It just wrapped up floor 8 of 13 (~180’) last week

There definitely needs to be an observation deck open to the public on the top floor of one of the 400-600 foot tall skyscrapers planned for Baltimore that has not been built yet.

In case anyone missed it, the replacement Key Bridge span renders dropped.

Tower heights will be +600’ and main span will be +1600’. While not a skyscraper, the bridge towers will be a nice addition to the skyline especially when lit up.
