Do minimum temps affect high rise concrete pours like they do my smaller commercial jobs?

This winter has been absolutely brutal, whole weeks with no days at adequate temperature.

How can they build skyscrapers in a place like Toronto if this were the case.

Insulation, heating, accelerators, etc. Expensive stuff that a GC in Atlanta might not be inclined to pay for when they can typically just wait a few days.

Like I said, high rise concrete is not my area of expertise. But things like asphalt are definitely a seasonal operation when you get far enough north.

Some of yall are super impatient for having followed construction of skyscrapers for decades...

The speed of this one is quite normal.

Agree and the past two weeks have been strange with weather and the new year and holidays. This will gain major steam by end of the week.

Based on the architectural renderings, the tower has reached a key transition stage between its office and residential sections, and this level will include 1072's "Sky Garden" which is unlike any of the other floors and likely a bit more complicated. Such a transition breaks the rhythm of vertical progress than observers might have gotten used to. The much smaller residential floors will rise is quick succession after this transition is complete.

All the while, the more tedious work on the ramp section of the parking podium has steadily continued along the west side of the 10-level base. Parking decks are heavy, complicated, and more difficult to form, and require the most time to complete. The genius of this project is that the main podium was built first to allow the tower to rise while the ramps were still under construction.

I second that Amen! Nothing has slowed.

4 more levels to go on the ramp portion of the 10 level Parking Deck.
Also significant portions of the glass curtain wall are being completed.

You finally get your tall building and you still cry

Cant wait til this one is done so the tears stop flowing
