Glad there is a project there, but those renderings . . . . Not a huge fan. That's very 1980's uninspired. I dunno.
It's a modernization...clean and simple, that's it. And that's all it needs. It achieves what it intends which is to open up the main building lobby to 101 Street and add glazing to the podium, which is quite insular.

It's honestly why I love this building so much and why I like and am excited for the update as it retains the original design quite a bit. I like the design just not the interaction with it as a pedestrian. It looks like this addresses that issue. Tho, it's likely more a tenant / mall thing, as CMD mentioned.

Agree. This modernization is well done and very sympathetic to the original design. It doesn't seem like it's being 'tacked on' like some other modernizations that we've seen to buildings of a similar vintage. Bravo to Dialog on this one.

My house's assessment is up nearly 50%, which I'm not happy about as that will result in a higher tax bill. I'd be happy if my assessment went down honestly, as it doesn't dictate market value anyways.

Maclab's Eleanor - Very, very impressive. Top of market in look, feel, amenities, details and pricing. The 3 storey townhomes ($3475/mo) are really, really well designed and are being snapped up by hospital docs and profs. The corner 2+2 ($2750) are very nice and have incredible views... shame about the snow today. Over 80% leased!

Beautiful building! It just blows my mind though how people can afford to live in these buildings. I recently saw an ad on Facebook for The Parks and I believe an entry level bachelor, a little over 400 square feet was over $1500.
