Awful day. Most likely the worst of the winter.
-12C with a wind chill of -21. It keeps snow and the wind is blowing it everywhere since the temperature is very cold and the snow is super dry.

Low of -14C (wind chill of -25) this morning. If you were able to stay home all day, you were in luck. Way too cold and the wind is making everything awful.

The warmspot was Prince Rupert, BC at 9.5C.

Warmest lows were Estevan Point and Solander Island, BC at 7.6C.

The wind was rough but it wasn't that bad all in all. Had a nice walk around the neighbourhood in the afternoon.

Even popped out to get some bread and eggs from the supermarket later in the evening.

Nice day as it was dry, calm and cool. Overcast earlier in the day and then we had some sun and blue sky later on.

Wednesday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 8 C, the low was 5 C.

-5C and fairly heavy snow in Moncton at 9 AM. Looking at the radar, this appears to be localized squall activity off the Northumberland Strait.

Going up to +2C this afternoon with rain/snow mix expected. About 2 cm of accumulation.

Mix of sun and cloud and 1 degree at 11am. Highs near 2 this afternoon.

Temperatures dip below seasonal over the weekend into next week. Looks like the possibility of snowfall over the course of the week too. No major storms, but just a couple of centimeters in flurries each day. If the snow isn't melting during a cold span then that stuff can easily add up.

It was snow-globe pretty earlier this morning with sunshine and sparkly little flakes slowly falling. Last night's low was -4.8 and at 11 am it was -1. High today is forecast to be 2 with possible showers. Overnight low of 1. More sun and similar temps forecast for the next couple/few days.

-2 now going up to +2, had a pretty good melt going yesterday. Lots of Windshield washer fluid. Looks like we will need it right through the weekend. Possibly rain r Snow on Saturday. but looking like the January thaw goes on another week with highs of +8 by Monday.

Chilly -12 this morning when I woke up. Sitting at -6 right now.

We are on track to record a significantly below normal January. Normal high for January is around 0 - this month, based on the 2-week forecast, is looking like it'll average closer to -4. We are looking at a minimum 3-week period without above-freezing temperatures, which is very unusual.

What's interesting though is that we aren't getting too many unusually cold overnight lows. The overnight low is tracking to be right around normal, if not slightly *above* normal (-8).

Ironically, there is currently no snow on the ground.

I think we've gone soft in Southern Ontario & Quebec - that low is hardly below average lol!

It's been a cold two days in Toronto - yesterday's mid day high was around -6 and today -4. Although sunny and calm, so actually quite pleasant. Low of -13 last night.

Totally agree. So many people in the GTA try and wear running shoes throughout the winter and then wonder why their feet are cold and shoes get ruined when it is snowy and there is lots of salt being used.

We haven't had a stretch of freezing weather like this since 2021. Slight chance we could get above freezing this weekend, but most likely we will have freezing temps all the way to February.

Agree, we have softened up a little but it's only normal when -20C nights become so rare (haven't had one in more than 2 years) and when double digits negative highs become newsworthy (MTL has had 4 sub -10C highs total in the last year).

-7C with a wind chill of -14 and some sun mixed with the clouds. Still that nasty wind.

Low of -12C (wind chill of -22) this morning. Once that wind calms down, we might get back to more normal winter weather. But it's been non-stop day and night for about 4-5 days now. Wind, wind, wind.

The warmspot was Kindakun Rocks, BC at 12.6C.

Warmest low was Cumshewa Island, BC at 8.8C.

Tbh the amount of salt used in the GTA is annoying, get's on everything and is ugly, especially when there is no snow like right now. Although, it's a necessary evil.

We are "warming up" today and the rest of the weekend, currently -5 and heading up to -1. The sun is peeking out again, and little to no wind, so really best case scenario for winter weather. Our high today is basically right on track for the average daily high in January.

EC is calling for around 5cm of snow overnight, which I am fine with - it's an improvement over the salty dead brown grass everywhere right now.

The below average patterns continues early next week, then warmer next weekend - and if the long term forecasts are correct, very cold after that, like sub -10 highs will be in play. Pretty active winter weather this year, which has become a rarity.

I think that among the medium and large cities, Vancouver, Montreal and Quebec City are the most beautiful in North America and with snow they are like a fairytale.
