Metro Vancouver isn't immune to wind in the winter, but it seems to be far more frequent recently. It looks like we'll get hit with another powerful windstorm during the holidays. Hopefully, it doesn't wreak havoc on the power grid.

I took Boxing Day literally and have Christmas all put away for another year. November 1 (off on November 11) to December 26, like a normal person? Next year I'll do Christmas Eve to Old Christmas Day like the grandparents used to do, lol.
Edit: It's been steadily raining most of the day now. The bit of snow we had is gone. Sounds lovely but I am excited for a proper blizzard.

So it looks like that outside of coastal B.C., Kamloops, Kelowna, Calgary and southern Alberta, and extreme southern Ontario, everyone had a white Christmas this year?
Probably. It has been a very chilly here since I came back. Non stop cold. We need to get all the cold out of the system and then the remaining winter should be super mild.

Low of -17C (wind chill of -21) this morning. Officially YUL fell to -17.8C which is the coldest temperature recorded in about 22 months (February 25, 2023).
