Dusting of snow last night. But the roads are good. Temp dropped fast yesterday afternoon. -6 to -12 in an hour. Temps are falling today to -20 overnight. highs will be -16 all week then for the Solstice they will bump up to +4. Looks like a warm Christmas.

We're on quite the temperature rollercoaster this December. It's either very mild or very cold. Yesterday's high was 10.5 and it hasn't been below freezing since last Thursday when it dipped to -10. This weekend will be brutally cold with a low of -14 predicted on Sunday morning. Then it swings back to completely above freezing until the new year.

+2C and partly cloudy in Moncton at 8 AM, going up to +9C this afternoon with rain.

We may get our Christmas snow on Saturday, December 21st.

Currently +10.3C in Moncton. Rain has stopped and the sun is out. I look forward to leaving the hospital in a few minutes and frolicking on the grass on the way to my car.

I was going to host a kids Xmas party in the backyard this past Sunday when it was mild. Got a Grinch costume too so I could swoop in and yoink their presents. But then we all got sick. So I looked at next weekend and it's a hard no. But yeah, after that the temps will above zero. Problem is that there will be plenty of kids that are away or have other plans.

As for Christmas, we'll be having a white one because we're going up north. The rising temps come right after the big day. This is what it looked like a few days ago. It will be interesting to see the gradual change in snow cover as we make our way up.

Big snow storm, could see up to about 10-15cm tonight.

Warming up to 6c tomorrow so shouldnt last too much.

Garbage day. As usually, collecting the litter around my house to add to the bag before tying it up. Wearing my winter coat, absolutely dripping in sweat. Came in, confused. Checked the temp. 10C

It's lovely but I'm still traumatized from that month of mild rain in November. Bring on the sun sooner please.

Dropped to -0.8 this morning, first time below freezing in seven days. Going to be very cold Friday, Saturday and Sunday, then another stretch of above freezing lows

If the forecast holds we'll be seeing our first accumulating and lasting snow Friday night and Saturday. The far below normal temps in the days following the snowfall pretty much ensure a white xMas for Halifax. The week following xMas is forecast to be above 0, both day and night, so perhaps the green will reappear soon enough. Yesterday we topped out at 7.2 in sunshine. The low last night was 2.5.

Currently +2C and partly cloudy in Moncton at 10 AM. It rained all night.

We are going to get the same snowstorm as Halifax Friday night into Saturday, but, it will be more of a Nova Scotia event. It will be a coastal nor'easter with peninsular NS perhaps getting 30 cm of snow. Southeastern NB is looking more like 15 cm, but, as Arrdee mentioned, it now looks very much like a white Christmas coming up.

The rest of the pre-Christmas forecast period will be sunny, calm but cold.
