It's raining so I spent a break walking around the Village Mall, our second-largest but nearest to death.
Stopped into Pipers, which is the urban version of Riffs, both of which are down-market "department stores", the kind that are busiest when benefits cheques go out.
Managed to spend, like, $80. I have a problem
It's quite the decline for the Village Mall from when it first opened. A busy mall with a two level Sears and Woolco; plus other large stores such as Dominion, Consumers Distributing and Marks & Spencer. The thought was at the time it would likely result in the end of the Avalon Mall; as the "mall" was getting long on the tooth. Love the decorations! A SKEET ball; priceless!!
Our pogo stick weather here, we have cold weather protocol for Sunday and Monday then a warm up again. to plus weather on Weds. Attending a boiler start up today on a project site. , will be nice to see how much of the boilers get used.

Edit: Two full loads successfully dried. That last one pictured, one sweater, one pants, and three of the individual socks didn't dry. Hung hem inside tho. Trying not to use the dryer, regardless of temp, unless we get another month of rain lol

Mostly sunny day. Made a stop at Forks on the Credit Provincial Park, which is northwest of the GTA. Definitely saw a gradual increase of snow as you head into the snowbelt. This wasn't our final destination but the first spot that had a measurable amount of snow.
Another wind storm for the lower mainland and western parts of Vancouver Island.
All of the usual live cams I look at for Tofino were off line. Lots of power outages and
ferry cancellations. Once the winds calmed down a bit we got some rain in the evening.
Nice! A Vancouverhenge (Manhattanhenge), I don't know why but I'm fascinated by that, just like our ancient ancestors . I always take notice of it when it happens on Burrard St.

Driving inbound to work on Mountain Road in Moncton in the morning this time of year is like that. I go in right at sunrise and it is blinding. It is hard to see the traffic in front of you. Even worse, there is a school crosswalk along the way. I'm surprised that a kid hasn't gotten hit by a car yet.
