^ I had the same experience riding the train yesterday. 60% of people were going to the show, and had no idea where to get off. The vibes were extremely positive on the train and downtown.

Some snaps from downtown yesterday.

Great pics. I was around downtown this weekend and lots of good vibes for the show and holiday season. It appears everything went off well and fans were happy.

Great pics. Yes, the energy was very positive. One of the best things about it was it happened at a time hotels would usually be very quiet.

Except for before/after the concert around the stadium it did seem like people were avoiding downtown based on the usual weekend traffic in the core.

Quote:
Telling everyone to NOT come downtown because of this was an absolute slap in the face of all businesses trying to survive downtown these days. I’ve spoken to many businesses all over the core and I would say the vast majority lost business because of this.

The Rogers takeover rages on.

For the first time in the Abbotsford Centre’s 16-year history, the venue is getting a name change.

Canucks Sports and Entertainment announced on Thursday that moving forward, the Abbotsford Centre will be known as the Rogers Forum.

It's as bad as Toronto now.
SkyDome is Rogers Centre and there's a new temporary stadium at Downsview dubbed Rogers Stadium that hosted the Oasis concert.
Some fans went to the wrong venue.
They need a tag line like "Rogers Forum - Abbotsford"

This will be the most concerts BC Place has ever held in one year — eight!

AC/DC - August 13th
Noah Kahan - August 28th
Guns n' Roses - August 29th (smart to book back-to-back shows, they only have to build the stage structure once!)
Foo Fighters - September 20th
Bruno Mars - October 14th, 16th, 17th, 20th
