I guess, Howards, Rosie's and this broader MML project is meant to appeal to the AirBnb jetsetters, carpetbaggers that have gradually woven itself into the fabric of Clarksville.

Oh noes! Today's wealth-hoarding descendants of the segregationist rich, who had come from elsewhere and pushed out the minorities and The Poors a hundred years ago, are being pushed out by the even richer! What will they ever
do about this gentrifcation of their neighborhood?
To think that Clarksville, or its adjoining neighborhoods, or West Sixth, would ever see much in the way of affordable housing constructed is truly delusional.
Call them jetsetters, oil sheikhs, carpetbaggers, interlopers, tech bros, or whatever disparaging term du jour one can come up with, but that area has been written off as a hangout for the well-to-do for a long, long, long time.
Frankly, I'm glad to see it being redeveloped into something more valuable that will being increased property tax revenue to the city, and likely sales tax too, even though I may never be a patron of the establishments that will be tenants. I don't begrudge them.
"...fine as it was," indeed.
