Port Burwell - Bayham, a municipality with 7,000 residents on the eastern edge of Elgin County, is in line to settle the approximately $4 million remaining on its submarine debt in March 2025, when the 10-year term on its 25-year loan ends.

New Ward map options being discussed ahead of the next municipal election.

"The fallout of London’s growth boom is cascading down to its election map, with changes potentially coming to all its wards to even out differences in population."

i live in Ward 7, which, of course, is the most populated (and thus, underrepresented).

Hyde Park BIA is proposing a large expansion of their area.

The proposal with a map is in the linked document.

my wages went up 1.25% (thanks, Doug Ford).
my taxes will go up 7.3% (thanks, Josh Morgan).

We pay more, and keep less. will the quality of services rise by 7.3%? I think not. I imagine that the police are getting more than 1.25% pay raise (Doug Ford only likes to keep wages down for the occupations that don't vote for him).

Why are the tax rises higher for London than for other comparable cities? It is not like we offer residents so much more.

Look at our budget's biggest costs (infrastructure) and then look at our population density. We sprawled our way into this expensive situation and by the looks of the UGB debate, we're going to keep digging deeper into this hole.
