I saw the new Roots store, they still have the old one so there are currently 3 stores open on Robson Street. Also Boss is open at Guildford Town Centre now.

“The expansion into the Peloton space is part of our broader vision to modernize our brand presence on Robson Street while staying true to our heritage,” said Meghan Roach, CEO of Roots. “We’re excited to provide an elevated experience that enhances accessibility and creates deeper connections with our customers.”

The upcoming expansion will bring Roots into a 4,000-square-foot space with storefront windows on both Robson and Hornby Streets, enhancing the flagship’s visibility and accessibility. The prime corner placement is expected to capture significant pedestrian traffic and create an inviting atmosphere for both new and loyal customers.
Quote:
In addition to the new flagship, Roots will maintain its children’s store on Robson Street and its CF Pacific Centre location. “Each of our stores serves different consumer needs, and we’re committed to maintaining a strong presence across the city,” Roach noted.

Max Mara is opening a storefront in Oakridge Park but it also looks like they will open a second one with their brand Weekend that also has a location in Metrotown/Pacific Centre.

The retail space at the bottom of the Block Building on South Granville (lately the strangely named Oriental Casa furniture store) is being refitted for someone. Hopefully not a vape shop the way South Granville is going.

Are there any other locations now outside of Park Royal? That's two businesses now that only exist at Park Royal in the LM along with Anthro.

Dajue Collection

Seems like it's some kind of florist/garden shop

Interesting. The whole bottom floor is being redone which seems like a huge space for a florist!

This was the interior of the old Chapmans store on Granville an 10th a few nights ago. Doesn't look like a retail store build out, more like a condo presentation centre or...? I believe Peterson paper was covering the other windows.

It's a presentation centre from the permits.

Not at all surprised at this. It was an opportunistic company targeting those stuck at home during the pandemic. Glad they are gone from this prime space: looking forward to something more exciting coming in.

Pelaton the company is doing extremely well. Their retail spots are probably better in the suburbs like Langley or South Surrey. The Park Royal one never seems to have anyone other than employees inside.

Seems like whoever owned the land sold close to the time they sold their West Pender location
