Is it just me or has it seemed like construction progress has slowed a bit.

I think it's just you. Stella's construction cam shows 1072WP's office section floors have been rising steadily, and soon the smaller residential floor plates will start to go up much faster. And while all this is happening, the inclined ramp additions to the parking pedestal are slowly climbing along the western (rear) face of the building -- a technique that allows the rest of the tower to climb before the parking decks are fully completed. This is a massive and complicated project.

I walk by this building multiple times in a week and I can tell you every single time that I walk by I see progress the first floor of the upper apartments has started

I think maybe another floor or two before the apartments start. The last office floor is slightly taller than the apartment tower directly north of it and the building hasn't surpassed that yet.

They weren't working on Thanksgiving, I think the project is stalled.

It is quite clear from the Stella construction cam that the cranes at 1072 are very active.

Currently topping off the last floor of the office portion. The tower is now starting to become visible driving in from Buckhead, along Peachtree St as you round the bend at Piedmont Hospital. 41.5 more floors to go!
Should be fully topped off by Sept 2025

It's much easier to get a perspective on this thing from Techwood on the west side of the connector; I just wish I weren't driving so I could snap a pic.

It already looks pretty significant: a size and massing greater than Skyhouse next door to it, and beginning to challenge the Google building in prominence. Pretty wild that the major vertical section hasn't even started yet.
