I just saw that Aurora pulled a $9.1 million retail construction permit last week.

I guess Wine and Beyond is another AB chain.

Does Regina have any Bay stores left? I can't seem to find any when I search the internet.

Just curious is all.

I'm sure Safeway pharmacist is not a fan of this! What is actually in that space now?

101G (and possibly more?) was occupied by Taylor Toyota for the past year while they redeveloped their Broad Steet dealership. Now that Taylor has cleared out, it looks like Salt Hill Capital had a deal with Loblaw's to be the next tenants of the underutilized space. Good for them for looking for new opportunities.

I also notice two cell phone booths are getting removed. 1Z3K and 1Z8K. Rogers and Koodo? I forget who's occupying those booths.

JD Sports coming to the Cornwall Centre in 2025.

Also updated footprint for La Vie en Rose who replaced the former La Senza and Spring (Aldo Group) spaces on main floor

Still hopeful for a Goodlife Fitness or Winners/Homesense for the remaining portion of the former Sears main floor space

Are they sure they've allocated enough parking?

That is the whole attraction of suburban big box centres. At least there is plenty of planned residential density in walking distance.

Aurora has a grocery store tenant. I would think Sobeys is most likely. Probably looking at relocating either Quance or Safeway in Vic Square.

Ever been to a Costco? It's not a place you take a bus to.

A FreshCo would make sense.

I'm sorry, but this is such a lame retail centre. I don't understand why Costco would choose this area to build their 2nd store in Regina. The long-rumoured North Pasqua Street location made much more sense to me. I know which Costco I will shop at ...and it won't be Westerra!

It depends on where you live. As someone living in the south end, Westerra is more convenient than Aurora or Pasqua North.

Yeah, from my parents house in south Regina it will be 10 minutes to Westerra rather than 20 minutes to the east. I think Westerra and its area just needs more time to develop and Costco will help.

I rarely go there, but I think Southland is the best mall in the city. Between Marks, Canadian Tire, and SportChek I can get a lot done in a single visit. The library is a great place to relax if you have time to kill waiting for someone. They turned one store location into a free community activity space. Its the one mall that has no intention of dying.
