There's a spot at the northern end of Letchworth State Park north of Mount Morris with a view of Rochester as well.

Hey y'all, I created an account on this website just to reply to this thread. I love these kinds of pictures so much, there's nothing like driving towards a city and seeing it rise over the distant horizon. So cool.

Anyways, my first picture is of Minneapolis that I uploaded to my from-afar views subreddit about two years ago. It's from 11 miles away, so not crazy far, but a neat perspective nonetheless. If you're familiar with the Twin Cities then you might know this spot—I took this picture from Indian Mounds Park in St. Paul.

This is a pic I found with the view from the Fremont Hills, 40 miles SE of DT San Francisco--grainy but I like the white and blue hues from the skyline.

This landing is worth a watch. Pretty much from Philly all the way to NYC. Quality is great too.

If you have a big OLED, best to watch on that with sound up, adds to immersion. Full screen, 1080p.

You'll notice:

1) Philly 0:00 mark to 2:00 or so (Bensalem, Bucks County, Camden)
2) Levittown - About 3:00 mark
3) Trenton - 3:30 mark onward, turns around 7:00 Mark with NJ Turnpike
4) South Brunswick - 8:29 mark (warehouses are a sign, that particular industrial park)
5) 10:50 mark, center back, New Brunswick, Edison. Highland Park.
6) 12:27 mark - Perth Amboy and beginning of Staten Island
7) 16:56 mark, Bayonne, Newark in distance, begining of Hudson County.
8) 17:00 onward, epic stuff

I had a similar landing at LaGuardia a few weeks ago and came in over those same buildings at 21:31 of the video. Seemed crazy how low we got over them.

Again, the tree canopy, wow!

The skylines of Atlanta are pretty nice, but the canopy over the neighbourhoods is really stunning.

Flushing would definitely have a tall, impressive skyline if not for its proximity to the airport.
