16C this afternoon and sunny. Very gusty though. It was actually decent if you were in a sheltered place or between gusts.

Was actually 22C (humidex of 25) last night.

The warmspot was Lennoxville, QC at 22.1C.

Warmest low was Sable Island, NS at 11.9C.

Well there wasn't any tropical low yesterday (because the meteorological day ends at 2AM), but nonetheless all those places broke their monthly all-time record high low record.
Let me repeat... they broke the October monthly record... on Oct 31st!

Third straight decent or nice conditions for Halloween. T-shirt weather this time although quite blustery. At like 8 or so it poured rain for a few minutes, but parents and young kids were done by then. The tweens and teens got the brunt of it.

Pumpkin wouldn't stay lit due to the wind. And a couple days before I noticed the top of the pumpkin was removed. Skunk or something opened it up.

Weather was perfect to dress up as Venom for a party two days before Halloween. Got soaked from the water guns and balloons and it was fine.

I spent all that time on the decorations for some photo ops. Went to the office the next day and came home to it all gone. It was blustery that day. I should have anticipated that. The tubes that form the arch came out of the clamp and the balloons, which were notched into rings (four per ring) must have come out one by one.

Only 3C in Moncton at 11 AM and cloudy, going up to 7C (maybe) this afternoon.

We had a pretty intense thunderstorm in the city last evening as the cold front went through. It's a bit unusual to have a thunderstorm this intense in November.

My backyard station says 0.4C but the sun is strong and warming on the skin. Perfectly comfortable outside on a light fleece hoodie.

The Blue Jays eat much more than I thought. No raccoons on the island, no squirrels in this area, and I don't think rats can reach the feeder, so it has to be them. I've had to fill it up twice in less than two weeks.

Ugh... last year I put them up early and was so sick of them by Boxing Day... but several of my friends already have theirs up, and we're under horrid standard time again, and it's getting colder, and I just need something festive to lift the atmosphere in the house

now -2C in Moncton at 11 PM, going down to a very chilly -7C overnight, with a rise to +5C tomorrow.

Remember I mentioned an intense lightning storm here in Moncton on the evening of November 1st, as a cold front passed through? Well, Environment Canada just confirmed that there were two tornadoes that touched down in NB with the passage of that cold front, both in the Fredericton region.

Tornadoes anywhere in Canada this late in the fall is essentially unheard of........

Another cold one... 5C and sunny. The day of the time change in the fall is always the most depressing one for me. It will now be dark at 5PM. Who cares sunrise will now be at 6:30 instead of 7:30.

Low of -3C (wind chill of -5C) this morning.

The warmspot was Point Pelee, ON at 16.5C.

Warmest low was Entrance Island, ON at 8.3C

Agreed Nicko....I guess I'll be cutting back on evening walks in general, and my walk for berry foraging tomorrow will need to be quicker.

Anyways, we hit a high of 9.9C from Toronto-Pearson today, and tonight is basically the same temp...bleugh.
For some reason I barely slept last night, which made today very lousy for me.
