With baby boomers between the ages of 57-77 I say they're still needed at least for a couple more decades. Not everyone knows how to go on to a website to find their local polling station

Good point. Interesting to see if it has any significant impact to the turnout; provided that demographic and older pretty much has everyone turnout.

Rob McKee as Attorney General
John Dornan as Health
Claire Johnson as Education
Rene Legacy as Deputy Premier and Finance
Aaron Kennedy as Local Government
Francine Landry as Speaker

Only Saint John area MLA to not be in cabinet is Kate Elman Wilcott from SJ West Lancaster

Dornan in Health is a no brainer (and a good middle finger to Higgs).
McKee as Attorney General makes sense.
Claire Johnson in Education also makes sense (bilingual anglophone, Ph.D researcher at UdeM.

I recall he's already been compensated for his dealing with Higgs. Handsomely.

How will we know he is successful, when we as a society can't agree on the key measurements? The previous government had a wall of kpi(s) that indicated that they were improving the system. The next group will have the same; but I'd bet that the system will again be considered "in crisis" four years from now as if nothing ever happened; other than a casting change.

Being able to see doctors in a reasonable amount of time in non crisis situations?

Pretty easy litmus test. Let’s see if the community clinics improve things.

I find it interesting that former SANB head Alexandre Doucet was left out of cabinet. Hopefully it's an indication that Holt intends to take a moderate, balanced approach to English-French relations and language issues.

She’s got a PHD in population health. Seems like a good fit for her. What better place to start, than the schools? (to improve population health)

Drop of 10% from August. More polls will see if the drop is secular or an sustained.

More polling in NS because it is seen by the mainstream media as a more important and influential province.

I see the Progressive Conservative Party under Premier Tim Houston is doing very well. Not surprising as he is a centrist progressive. Higgs had a socially conservative right wing CoR/PA taint, especially after he openly supported Faytene. It was a bit too much for most New Brunswickers to take.

The NDP in NS has a strong base in HRM (universities, civil servants). This will kill the Liberals.

I wish Tim Houston well........

Her English is flawless. No accent at all from what I have heard. She could easily pass as a native English speaker.

Is she originally from Quebec? There are francophone Johnsons from there. Or, is her husbands surname Johnson?

Best to keep militant activists out of cabinet. He could be trouble.

And, on the back benches, he will have to keep his mouth shut.
