My station went down to 0.6. No frost but ground is white with frost at higher elevations.

We are now at 139 days with a high above 20C. Just 3 more days to beat 2021. We will get one more tomorrow then there is another warm up for Halloween. We'll see.
Today will be number 161 for my station, which is pretty consistent, I think, from year to year. There is a chance for two more around Halloween and that will probably be it. I've recorded only a few 20+ days in November, I think the latest was around Nov 10.

10C and sunny in Moncton at 8 AM, going up tp 20C this afternoon. Glorious weather.

Mechanic Settlement Road near Elgin NB. This is a shortcut to Fundy National Park from the Elgin and Goshen area, but, I advise against using it unless you have a four wheel drive vehicle with impressive ground clearance. I speak from experience. The back roads of Albert County are not to be trifled with.

Thursday into Saturday is going to be wet in East NL. 70-100 mm of rain coming your way as the storm has shifted mostly off of the coast of NS. At least the wind predictions have lessoned and wont be such an issue.

Well the sub 0 weather finally got my gardens. Most of the plans are gone now but still have some roses that look ok, and most things against the house are still ok. But the annuals are all gone.
Still Oct 23 and still have flowers is incredible. But will lose some more today. Ledor is in installing fiber lines and they need to get into one one my gardens with the directional drilling. (side note this was supposed to be more than 5 years ago but Telus had a fight with a contractor).

Heading to Jasper NP for Dark Nights but forecast looks cloudy so no astrophotography this year.

Sun and cloud and 14 at just before 3pm.

Official low at the airport was 0.7, they survive a bit longer. My station did freeze, getting down to -1.2 at 7:30am. First time my yard has frozen in October since getting my weather station.

Lots of rain coming out way between tomorrow evening and Friday, possibly up to 100mm. After that, looking like October 29th-30th may be out freeze date, with the long-range showing temperatures dipping near 0.

Barring an Arctic outflow, it looks like Vancouver or Victoria will be the winner this year.

If we can manage to survive Saturday night (Oct 26 night time low +1 but a clear sky) Windsor looks good until the second week of November.

That's according to EC

Accu Weather has us a couple of degrees warmer though.

Hoping the heat island effect of Detroit can help us out

Labrador. In October. Should be fun. Flying out Sunday and returning, likely, Friday for work.

Much more yellow/gold/orange in Ottawa this year than orange/red. The firebush, however, are incredible - hard to believe something so red is natural.

Holly hell! Southern Quebec had a legitimate chance at 30C if it weren't for the cloud cover this afternoon. Some places were above 20C by 7AM already and had reached 25C by noon when it clouded up.

23C (humidex of 24) and overcast. Sun did peak here and there.

Low of 15C last night.

The warmspot was Sainte-Clotilde, QC at 25.9C.

Warmest low was Downtown Montreal, QC at 16.1C.

15C and overcast in Moncton at 8 AM. Our expected high of 18C will be reached by noontime, then a cold front starts passing through, lowering the temperatures. This will be the end of our Indian Summer. We might see flurries Sunday night.

Waterford Road, in the Waterford Valley, near Sussex in Kings County, NB. Those are the Sussex Bluffs in the Background. This road leads to the Eastern entrance to the Fundy Trail, and is easily one of my favourite ways to get there from Moncton (Derek Grant on Facebook)

Yes SHH, we have lots of Waterfords in NB too, but, this should not come as a surprise since NB is heavily Irish (and Acadian). The original name of NB was to have been New Ireland, but this was overruled by King George III.

Just lovely fall pics all around coast to coast!

Fall doesn’t really start in my part of Japan until November.

The live cams of Kelowna are showing some really nice fall colors currently as well.

Lots of the maples in the valley bottom are changing, and the Larch trees on the mountains are starting to really turn as well.

Been a beautiful start to the week, currently 3c on its was to sun/cloud mix and a high of 11c.
