This ended up being our warmest September since 2017. Our average high was 24.5C VS seasonal norm of 21.5C. Septembers are continuing to get warmer across Ontario.

Also, as of today , Toronto has recorded 158 consecutive days where the daytime high has always surpassed 14C. It's tied for 1st place. Given the forecast, this will continue for the foreseeable future.

23C with a humidex of 26 and a mix of sun and clouds. I would even say the clouds were more present than the sun. Super pleasant day however.

Low of 11C this morning.

The warmspot was Grenadier Island, ON at 26.2C.

Warmest low was Port Colborne, ON at 19.6C.

Wore a hat and gloves running an errand yesterday evening. It was over 10C but really didn't feel like it is. Even walking uphill at a brisk pace, never broke a sweat.

11C and cloudy in Moncton at 9 AM, going up to 18C this afternoon.

Oncoming CN freight train, New Denmark, northwestern NB.

Again, leaves in northwestern NB are probably two weeks advanced compared to here in the southeast.

If the clouds clear tonight we'll likely end up on that freeze list overnight—a full 3 weeks earlier than last year. Highs back into the teens/low 20s Friday and into next week. I'm still wearing shorts and will continue to do so until daytime highs are below double digits.

There were several cities in western Canada that only just barely escaped the freeze list last night. Some will fall tonight for sure.

Other than yesterday I have only had a light vest on. Jacket was only because I was on a roof in the rain.

Some of the fall colour change from last weekend

Took my new Peruvian acquaintance fishing again. This time up the river for salmon. He continues to be fascinated by Canadian wildlife, seeing that he barely saw any wildlife in the desert of Peru. He even tried following a a skunk.

Walked the river for quite a while. Nice weather. My back was soaked so bad that my shirt was unwearable for the grocery store stop after. Good thing I had a spare.

It looks like we've now turned the corner into fall. The temperature graph below shows a nice comparison between a summery feeling day and a fall day. Yesterday was over 20 most of the day and there was a humidex, while today it struggled to reach 20 and the air was cool and dry. There was a bit of rain at 3pm yesterday and then you can see the cold front arrive just after 6pm, which brought a brief downpour. This evening the temperature is dropping quickly again

Beautiful weather for hiking. Yellow water buttercup in Rondeau Bay. Erieau is in the background at right.

19C and cloudy early this afternoon before the rain started.

Low of 15C this morning. Nice and mild.

The warmspot was Cap-Rouge, QC at 21.3C.

Warmest low was Montreal, QC at 13.9C. That is the temperature tonight as the morning was milder.

Indeed it did (-0.3C just before sunrise).

I will update the freeze list again later today, once all the reporting stations in the west have passed sunrise.

Currently 7C and sunny in Moncton, going up to 19C later today.

In practice the minimum temperatures that St John's recorded today are the minimums (colder than the normal minimum averages) that Palermo records in January and February. :superfrusta

Speaking of practice, would love to try out my punches, kicks, and scratches on ya right about now.

Kidding. Kind of surprised it gets that cold at any time in Palermo, to be honest.

Looks like we escaped entering the freeze list last night—the low only got down to +3. We should be good now for at least the next week or so. It will still be a little cooler today with a high of only 13, but it warms up tomorrow and into next week. We should hit 20 a couple of times and possibly mid-20s on Monday.
