Yes, apartments are part of the plan on the lower section of the podium facing W Peachtree to screen the parking deck from the street. There will be balconies as low as the second floor i believe.

Its a nice change of pace for sure. Hope we see more of that trend in midtown going forward.
Alexan on 8th (at 880 West Peachtree) was completed about six years ago, and its parking decks are also shielded from the front and one side by apartments.
Yes, the Alexan is a nice example as well. I don't mean to say that 1072 is the first to do it. Its just that so many of the apartment towers we see do a sub-optimal job at shielding decks from public view. Another example i like a lot is Modera Midtown. If i could choose one midrise template to plop down all over the place, it would be like that.
A few more floors and they are done with the office components floor plates. The apartment portion floor plates are significantly smaller, so this baby will really start to rise quickly then.

And it is on one of the highest points, topography, in Midtown.
Can't wait til you are able to see it peaking over midtown from the connector. The cranes are fully visible, so just another floor or two should do it.
