It’s been 8 months since Vancouver’s multiplex policy was approved, & so far only a triplex at 2727 Parker St. has secured a development permit. Dozens of others have yet to satisfy the conditions attached to their tentative approval, & 3 proposals have been delisted.

A triplex at 2656 Waverley Ave was the first to be rejected by city staff & it’s since been redesigned & resubmitted. Yet, a proposed quadplex at 3581 E 45th Ave & a six-plex at 5038 Granville have vanished without explanation, hinting this process may not be as simple as promised

The clearing for 6151-6261 Granville has started. Has to be one of the largest clearings on the West side for a long time (the two houses on the right are still to come down). I wonder why the block is so long north-south here 947th)None of the houses were architecturally distinguished on the west side of the street in any way. Lest some Gen Zers get their hopes up, this is going to be a seniors home.
