How am I troll? This guy has a history of — like this from the time he played college (eg. threatening to shoot up a club with an AK-47). Is that really who we want in our league?

And why are you so adamant on trying to protect someone who — harasses/threatens women?

Final note: the league banned Shawn Lemon "indefinitely" for betting on league games. Kelly gets banned 9 games for his harassment.

Does the league thinking betting is more important than the safety of women working within the football industry?

Somehow, I would bet your empathy for women is probably a recent phenomena considering your penchant for finding reason to troll this thread in the past.

So what do you expect the guy to do, he served the sentence he was given, get over it and stop the lame cancelling behaviour and the trolling.

You think people only have empathy for women when it lets them troll??? Believe it or not decent people always have and always will be against harassment and violence against women. That comment says more about you than anything else.

Yes I'm aware Kelly served his suspension that the league game him. Hence why my gripe is with the league and not him. It's very clear my issue is that it was so light considering his past and how they much harder they punish other players for behavior that doesn't come close to being as heinous as violence against women.

It's sad that it seems this will be the first CFL season that thurmas, the forumer who created this thread and was passionate about the CFL will not see.

He was heading to hospice in the Spring and his last post was in April. If he did indeed pass away, Rest in peace and hope you're cheering for the Blue Bombers from the great beyond, SSP friend.

Great first half thus far for the Elks. I gotta say, MBT is looking great and the run game is serious.

It's pretty remarkable how many of our stats have gone from last to 1st in the last four weeks.

GO ELKS GO!!!

Fun game and good comeback by the Als; the Elks let that one slip away, but still showed promise.

Shame about that FG though.

Bring on the STAMPS!

If they can work a 2 QB system they will have a very bright future.

Funny thing, I was looking back at some old posts from 2015 and the E's were not a terribly likeable team. They brought some bad karma on themselves. One was that idiot Hervey shitting on Canadian players, another was them blocking Ottawa from having their Lumberjack demo crew at the GC. There was another ahole who didn't shake hands at the coin toss and they missed the National anthem at one game.

The football Gods are just now finishing with their wrath.

3-1 to go to 26-22.

Coin flips were 2-2 for 3-5.

This week's winners... BC, WPG, TOR, EDM.

Looked like a good crowd in Calgary (edit:28,467) even with some sections tarped The other three games were sellouts, Hamilton and Regina both well above capacity.

What a display of offence and interceptions by the Elks.

25-36, 486 yds and 3TDs for MBT.

Crazy that we now may have the best 1-2 QB situation in the league.

According to the Regina Leader-Post, the attendance in Regina on Sunday was just shy of 34,000 -- a new all-time record for Mosaic Stadium (~ 900 above its capacity).

Mosaic in the 4th quarter:

Sask certainly has the bar for the CFL now when it comes to stadiums. Having been there for a recent Grey Cup, I have to say that it is a great size, feel and look.

Here's a TV screen capture during the Hamilton LDC. This is from the "north" end looking southward.
(PS: I'm glad the TSN video crew now seems to put up video of the city that's NOT just steel mills and smokestacks)

And this is the pre-Ivor Wynne Stadium version ("Civic stadium") circa 1960. The old "east-west" facility was knocked down to be replaced by the new, after possibly the largest local debate since the one about building the Red Hill Valley Parkway.
