Kelowna managed to escape most of the architectural mis-adventure 1990-2020 as well. It was arguably the most wretched era for high-rise construction. Vancouver/Toronto weren't so lucky although the current slate U/C and proposed are MUCH better.

Btw, what happened to that gold coloured 46 floor UBCO proposal? Is it still in the works?

It's under construction. It had a slight delay due to some foundational cracks in several buildings bordering the construction site.

I can't think of another downtown park that offers that kind of variety.
Washington Park in Portland Oregon always reminds me of Mount Royal - being a forested hill adjacent to downtown with switchback roads and various attractions.

All these parks (Stanley, Tor Islands, MR & Washington) are phenominal assets for their cities.
