Phase 3B procurement to start next year with construction for 2026-2031. Budgeted at $3.65B gives $5B for the entire Phase 3.

You would think they would, but I recall many announcement ago about this project, that they specifically said that the project would not be open in stages.

From what I figured why they cannot prioritize widening Highway 1 from 216th St to 264th St first was because widening a highway would require rebuilding a number of overpasses for clearance and for room to make space to widen the highway further out which is why they did not widen it at first due to some obstacles and obstructions.
