They did a new mural on Girod street by the dome. Passed it today. Street work going on as well.

poydras by the dome is still a shit show on the river bound side, funnels into 1 lane for everyone



new signage for Emerils and NOBU



more finish work done to th poydras/convention center entrance





the tunnel was closed for a short time so they could get the tile floor redone and opened back up. they are still renovating, walls need finishing







elevator lobby under construction, not sure if all 3 elevators were in service but 1 definitely was



slowly but surely its all coming together, got a glimpse into the centerbar, couldnt get a pic but it looked nice, new escalators are visible by the original valet entrance. few more weeks and it should look amazing when those walls come down

I have some nostalgia for Harrah's and I don't like that it's the Caesars Superdome but the casino really does look better now. I guess it needed to be freshened up

Anyone know what is happening to the parking lot on the corner of Chartres and Conti streets? Some old foundations were dug up?

I really loved Harrahs even though it needed a good freshen up but everything remodel wise so far is great. some of management could use some help though. for the dome, I could care less of who has the naming rights, I never called it the Mercedes Benz Superdome or Caesars Superdome, to me its just The Superdome

I drove past it and I'm pretty sure I saw pilings and other signs of active construction.

I mean yeah I still just call it the dome it's just that it's the national equivalent of calling it the tropical Isle superdome. Just seems tacky to me and not something that's a good representation of the city
I do see the joke coming about how it's an accurate representation though I just thought Mercedes was a lot classier name. Obviously with Mercedes America's HQ being in Atlanta and their stadium having that name that wasn't going to continue
