Yeah, another odd comparison made by Nicko.

26C (humidex 34) and partly cloudy in Moncton at 10 AM. Our tropical Florida weather continues.

The good news is that my pool heater has barely come on over the last couple of weeks.

Any power savings there however, have been more than offset by my central air conditioning which is on almost all the time.

I love my central A/C though........

Summer evening, Parlee Beach, Shediac NB.

Sunny and 20 at 11am. Highs near 25 this afternoon. Cold front moved through last night, dropping temperatures and dew points with it. Dew point just 14 right now, it feels very fall-like out there even though highs near 20 are what's average for this time of year.

The break in humidity will be short lived, as hot temperatures and high dew points will return between tomorrow and Tuesday. Should stay below heat warning criteria though.

Hot and sticky. Which is funny cause you'd look at these and assume it's kind of chilly.

Cormorants. They used to be a rare sighting, now they're a regular.

It's true! I don't doubt you, obviously, but my interpretation with no information beyond the photos themselves would be chilly.

I wonder which sub species they are. I gotta wonder if these are double crescent cormorants, which are wrecking havoc in parts of Toronto's waterfront. Bloody awful things.

Definitely feels like the middle of summer. Hot and humid, 30.4 with a humidex of 41 and low of 21.4. Awesome weather if you're near a pool or a lake (and have AC at night). The lake is warm and the water is so inviting.

Yeah I'm not sure actually. Didn't realize there were sub species.

Beautiful evening. Continuing hot and sticky..and this time it actually looks like it.

I know that so I wasn't really comparing the immediate shore area but the surrounding places. Trenton high was 27C, Montreal was 31C. Only 3 Ontario stations were warmer this afternoon than YUL, Pembroke, Ottawa and Kemptville. The more intense heat is in Eastern Ontario rather than Southern Ontario.

Hot start of the day in Montreal, low was 24C (humidex of 33) and beautiful blue sky.

By the time we approached Kingston, things started to cloud up. Phone was showing 25C for Picton. Official Trenton station was 27C (humidex of 37). Cloudy most of the day but at least it was warm enough. Water temperature I would estimate to be about 25C. Not bad at all.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 39.6C

Warmest low was Downtown Montreal at 24.6C

24C (humidex 32) in Moncton at 9 AM and sunny, going up to 29C (humidex 38) this afternoon with showers and thunderstorms. Florida has decided to move north for the summer.

Chapelle St.-Anne in Beaumont, in the lower Petitcodiac River Valley, about 30 km south of Moncton.

Not as nice as Mc's view, , but delicious rain today.

Rainy day shenanigans. I hate the before floor. And I hate too many different types of floors in a house. I have the same hardwood throughout (rare here at my price range), and now I have the same floor in the remaining areas (porch, bathroom, kitchen). It looks a lot now but the white table, orange chairs, and colourful rug will cover about half of it. Can't wait!

A break in the rain.

EDIT: Also, quick update. Mudder is doing best kind. She's already her active self, even cooked our brunch. All the pre-op doctors and her surgeon were amazed how healthy she is - absolutely nothing wrong with her except the cancer (other than that, Mrs. Lincoln... lol). She didn't need any strong painkillers, just regular tylenol. She's still got a pump to drain blood/fluids, but the amount had already been below the threshold for two days that they said she'd need to hit before it's removed. That's in just a few days, but they said it could be up to two weeks. Still no results from any of the whole-body tests/scans, but it's looking good. We're hoping her treatment will be just radiation/pills and no chemo. She's in great spirits ("I've always had a good body to heal"), taking it easier than usual in the evenings and going to bed by 10 p.m. (very early for her, she usually reads until 1-2 a.m.). But she's excellent. Whatever happens, her quality of life right now was worth the mastectomy.

Front step is touched up also lol. But it's gonna rain and wash away I bet. Shag it.

Hot, sunny, and humid day. Supposed to some thunderstorms tomorrow which will bring an end to this long stretch of humid weather we've been experiencing

Back in Vancouver, a high of 27°C today, humidity 54%, a nice day with a small breeze.

And here's a gratuitous picture of Mt. Baker I took flying over recently, because it looks cool!

The humidity was down a bit last night, we dropped below 20 for the first time in a week. Today the humidex was 37 vs 41 yesterday, with about the same temperature (29.8 and 30.4)

Tomorrow will be 29 or 30 again, then Tuesday looks like a rainy day

July was St. John's 9th warmest month on record. It should be no surprise that 4 of the 10 hottest months ever recorded at YYT have come within the last 10 years.

Beautiful day to spend at the beach. Phone was saying 27C. Closest weather station I believe is Point Petre and that one was also showing 27C for a high. Dewpoint was a ridiculous 26C creating a humidex of 41 although it did not feel that high. Water temperature is around 25-26 so who knows, dewpoint could have been that high.
You have few people before noon. Everyone come in the afternoon and by 4PM, it was way too crowded. But I do understand... warm weather, sunny, long weekend and Sunday.

Low of 20C (humidex of 27) in Trenton this morning.

The warmspot were Ashcroft and Lillooet, BC at 37.8C

Warmest low was Summerland, BC at 22.4C.

And these kinds of temps (the ones that can lead to massive out-of-control fires which in turn can literally burn Canadian cities/towns to the ground) make you happy?
