Obviously nothing spectacular, but housing for the masses. I look forward to the street scene once this entire project is up and running. Urban Saskatoon has some hope! Thanks for the pics!
I walked past the Baydo towers yesterday evening after a friend who lives in the area told me about damage to the building next door (Park Avenue Tower to the north). There was some cracking of the concrete leading into that building's parking lot and a bunch of bricks missing on the wall closest to Baydo. Does anyone on here know if this was due to sinking/settling of the land on the Baydo site, or if it was unrelated?
Also, just curious if there are any updates about the second tower... seems to be stalled out for quite some time?!
The first and second floors of the south tower are more complicated as they have the retail/commercial space, with parking above and below. Glad to see the amateurs are at least working on it and making progress.
I think your next update may show some panel colours on the North tower, CDYXE :>) Keep a lookout. BTW, have you seen any progress on the YWCA expansion next door? We don't have a thread for it, but maybe a pic could be added to the general flow.
I took this picture back in May. I realize it’s dated but a picture showing this wasn’t uploaded yet, so figured I’d share it. I drove by the other day and it looked like they were pumping concrete on Floor 3(ish) of the South Tower.
Thanks for the photo, BillDing! Slightly off topic, but it's the first I've seen of the YWCA expansion, and it's already 'topped out'.
The pumping concrete at Baydo - did that seem to be the top of the podium? It'll be time for them to pop a cork if they can finish that and the first tower.
No problem! If I recall correctly, it was the floor of the podium’s top storey, but I could be mistaken as it was a quick glance while driving down 25th haha
