I drove past the other day and was really impressed with the portion of the building that overhangs the creek. It's really going to mesh well with the Greenway when it's finished.

I no longer doubt that this is going to be a spectacular building.

For me, aesthetically it really depends on how the upper-section of the building meshes with the lower-section. I have yet to fall in love with the setback of the upper-section, which to me makes it feel disjointed.

I'm excited to see how tall the skyline will be with this juggernaut

If only Wilson Tower was over 1000' too... but at this point, I just want them to start lol

I do. I think it depends if they taper that upper section.

I'm pretty sure I detected a slight anti-taper in some of the more recent renderings. Does that make it better or worse?

I wish they had gone with the earlier designs with a more continuous, sweeping effect than the all-too-common exposed/missing middle section. That might be OK for a shorter building (or not) but I think it just diminishes the apparent height and overall impact of a super tall.

Just my $0.02...

I noticed that too, it flares back out toward the top.

It at least has the honor of being the most vacuum cleaner-esque building, possibly ever.

The building looks fine so far (an average C-grade building IMO). The materials are good but the facade pattern is obnoxious.

Going forward, I'm afraid I'll be lowering that grade. Like some other commenters, I'm also not a fan of the disjointed setback and the visual gap between volumes. And I've always thought the design for the top of the building is tacky and looks cheap - funky in a bad way. We'll see if reality is better than the renderings soon enough.
