Awesome photo updates! Also, I am losing patience with the exterior colors being finished on this one.

Yea I'm still not visualizing the end product. From most angles, the building looks decent, nothing particularly outstanding. It's east face is definitely my least favorite.

This rendering from this article can help:

https://austin.towers.net/take-a-clo...-tallest-tower

The Travis is the building on the right, with the phase two tower and podium on the left. Once the crane and construction elevator are removed, there will be glass on those sections. There will also be some nice texture with the trim around the smaller windows. I don't think the east face will look bad at all - well, other than the presumably boring parking garage treatment to accommodate the phase two tower.

I unfortunately think even the end product is going to look a bit unfinished -- especially how the design is planned around a second phase (the status of which is questionable to say the least). It's the same thing I think about Natiivo right down the street each time I see it...

The rendering davidtexan linked obviously isn't going to to be perfectly accurate given how it doesn't realistically show how the Shore Condos and Van Zandt look, and doesn't really account for the Waterline existing. But I'm still holding out hope that they will integrate things fairly well, rather than ending up with something much more walled off from the adjacent buildings.

I really want to know what's going to happen to the Four Season's tower. I, like everybody else, assume that particular project is dead and buried. But eventually something's gotta sprout from there -- that's some prime space, attached to an already-built parking garage.

tall but not as tall as it used to be

It's interesting to me how this one used to look so tall but now not so much because of the towers going up around it.

Does anyone know why it's taking so long for the cladding/paint/whatever to be applied? I have no idea what the finished building is going to look like ...

As always, thanks for all of the great updates, gillynova!

Of course!

But yeah, this DEFINITELY looked really tall as it was peaking but since it topped out and everything else around it gets taller, it doesn't seem as "big" as we once thought. But hey, I'm super grateful it's even like this

Not too long ago, the 44 East tower really stood out in Rainey.

I'm assuming you mean the Ritz-Carlton? Yeah, something will get built there eventually. But not anytime soon.
