Hot yesterday, hot today and hot tomorrow. Should see 38c today and the next couple days, potentially flirting with 40c. Lots of wildfires around, we are expecting a cool down starting Wednesday.

Okanagan Lake has been giving some relief from the heat lately…she sure is looking good.

Perfect summer day. Mid 20s with a reasonable amount of humidity (upper 20s). Sunny, nice breeze

Super cool mushrooms. An almost glass-like appearance to them.

Lakes clearly still affected by Tuesday's rain. I was on Huron today and clarity was not great at all. Those mushrooms do indeed look fake and super cool.

27C with a humidex of 32 and sunny. Pretty typical summer day.

Low of 17C this morning.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 41.2C.

Warmest low was North Cape, PEI at 20.9C. Nice to see PEI in there.

^ Nice fireworks.

Sticky but nice morning here.

This grass would usually be parched right now, but not this year with rain storms

Didn't think there would be much of a sun show this morning.. then this happened

Mix of sun and cloud and 26 (humidex 30, dew point 16) at 11:30am. Highs near 27 this afternoon, though things will cloud over later today. Much less humid again today, air is very comfortable.

Temperatures will cool off slightly for the upcoming week, as we fall to more seasonal temperatures. Mix of sun and cloud and highs in the low to mid 20s for the upcoming week.

Not weather related, but, I was just looking out my upstairs window and, in the maple tree just outside the window I spotted both a Cardinal and a Flicker at the same time. Very neat. The Cardinal was singing it's guts out.

I've had a pair of resident Cardinals in my back yard all summer. Normally they are considered rare in Moncton, but, they seem to be more common over the last few years. I presume this is due to global warming.

Up until 6 or 7 years ago, I had never seen or heard a Cardinal in Halifax. Now I regularly hear their distinctive calls all over the city, at least in the suburban areas where there is substantial tree cover. I also have some resident Cardinals that I hear all the time and occasionally see around my home.

Posted previously, but hopefully this info will be helpful for your father, giallo. Best of luck, I hope he can get some relief from the heat in the future!

I have a few groups of Cardinals on my street in Aylmer. It seems like there are more here than there were when I moved into the place in 2007.

"Pew Pew Pew" all damn day.

Dripping sweat while deep cleaning. It's been so hot and humid that my house smelled off when I came home from brunch. I'm even washing out the garbage cans, lol.

So yesterday Lytton was 41.2 and Kamloops was 40.0.

Unfortunately the fire near Ashcroft has been pumping out smoke right over the town so temperatures there have been retarded by likely 3 to 5 degrees the last few days (yesterday hitting 38.4 and today nearly the same).

Today has already seen some +40 temps in Lytton, Kamloops, and Trail (Warfield). Osoyoos also will have likely hit 40 and a few other locations might as well.
