Here's an idea: if you want to see the water, how about getting out of your apartment and walking two or three blocks to the abundance of parkland and other public spaces that abut Vancouver's waterfront?

Perhaps on the southern side of False Creek shorter or tiered buildings should be a priority to preserve sunlight on the Seawall, but on the north side build tall and dense please.

For Burrard/Georgia, sure. But I personally think most of the city needs to hit 1.5 FSR first, then a few other things, before 10 FSR minimums across the peninsula is even remotely justified.

Safe to assume this whole plan will be reworked in light of the viewcone amendments?

I doubt you'll see any dramatic changes. Maybe at most 10-15 storeys on certain sections. They already had 30 storey towers planned for the area and some 40 storey/425 feet towers near the new Georgia/Pacific intersection. And they still want it to step down near the edges regardless of the view cone

With any increased height allowed there will be less pressure to squeeze in so many squat buildings. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
