The Payette River was amazing this past weekend! Idaho definitely has big whitewater and it is so beautiful, the scenery in the canyon is incredible.

The Boise River is beautiful. We also rented e bikes and did the greenbelt and ate at a really nice food truck park right on the greenbelt. Awesome city for summer activities!

What section of the Payette did you float? It is one of the finest whitewater rivers anywhere and the North Fork is one of the most challenging stretches of white water on the planet. Boise is a great basecamp to check out premier whitewater.

Yes, Green Acres, there was live music and the bar was a surprise and with children around! I was impressed by the amount of places to eat and drink along the greenbelt.

I've said it before, and will say it again, the greenbelt and river are enviable. The relaxed vibe in the city is enviable, people actually saying hello on the sidewalk is enviable, the amount of green spaces are enviable and so is 8th Street and the diverse selection of restaurants in such a walkable downtown.

Hopefully Boise can hold on to that "relaxed vibe" as it grows. It's not as relaxed as it was 10 years ago.

I hope so too and think the coveted downtown vibe will continue as hundreds more people move into the new apartments and hundreds more visitors stay at the new downtown hotels, but it might be tricky lol.

Hemingway Hot Springs would include 12 hot-springs pools, two cold-plunge pools

A high-profile group of Wood River Valley citizens is planning to establish a hot springs complex near the Ketchum city limits with the goal of reinvigorating a hot springs culture in town decades after the closure of the historic Bald Mountain Hot Springs.

Jake Moe, founder of Powder magazine, and his wife, Susan, as well as model and actor Mariel Hemingway and her partner, Bobby Williams, have proposed building Hemingway Hot Springs at 280 West Warm Springs Road. The site is located west of Sun Valley Resort’s Warm Springs base but not quite as far as Penny Lake pier. Hemingway said the project location is important to her and the rest of the team.

“This place means everything to us,” said Hemingway, the granddaughter of Nobel Prize-winning author Ernest Hemingway.
