That looks similar to the initial concept.

Could someone inform Rockefeller Group or TVS Design to modify the design plan as soon as possible? There's still time!!!

Personally, I think they made the better choice. Once this is completed, the street level is how most of us will experience this building and that looks pretty good to me. Its pretty common to have an existing building as the base building and a modern tower above it.

I like the current design, I think they made the right choice.

However, in the rendering of the building's rear view, the wall of the huge office section, covered with countless neatly arranged square windows, looks incredibly ugly. Firstly, the excessively large surface area makes it monotonous and unvaried. Secondly, such a rigid design feels extremely dull and oppressive. I cannot be certain how the final built structure will actually turn out.

I really cannot prove that the elevation of the office section from this rear angle is a rigorous and trendy design.

I don't doubt that the quality of the materials for this building will be top notch, it's just kind of a shame that the top of the building is so banal. It reminds me of most of the high rises going up in Austin.

I think the top of the building is fine. There are plenty of towers in Atlanta with crowns.

Yup, One Atlantic Center, Promenade, 1180 Peachtree, Four Seasons... A crown isn't needed on this one.

Did Rockefeller buy that, or is Turner maybe just leasing parts of it to use for its construction site operations/parking? And I'd love to know what AIB Networks is holding out for to leave their little corner of this block. http://www.google.com/maps/@33.78362...5409&entry=ttu

Last I heard, it's owned by the Georgia Tech Foundation. I'm guessing we won't see much movement there at least until Tech Square is completed.

Surely they have to raise it now? Looks to be practically above the base of the crane operator's cockpit. Hope they do two or three sections when they raise it.
