Just waiting for the sun.

Video Link

EDIT: Mowing is DONE baby! Also, I forgot: wore pants this morning because shorts were all on the line, so walked to Sobey's in a t-shirt and jeans. Absolutely freezing. My fingers turned red when I got back inside my house. So that's why mowing in pants lol

EDIT 2: Sun is out but it still feels cold. Windows are open but I'm in long sleeves with a blanket over my legs and still chilly.

Everything is so green for a change here its quite nice, I'll take the seasonal weather like this in the hopes of no forest fires over the dry hot weather we had last Spring.

In saying that, we have only had 3 days over 30c (and those days were JUST over 30c) with no 30c forecasted highs in sight for the next two weeks...wild.

Yesterday was a high of 27c and sunshine, a beautiful day. The next couple days looks like a bit of a cool down to mid twenties and chances of rain/thunderstorms.

Rain again this morning, we've had over 50mm this week. The low was 20.3 and we are headed up to 27 after another cooler day yesterday

Nice amount of rain for you guys this week!

To put it into perspective, we have had 77.7mm of total rain accumulation since the beginning of March (4 months), and you will hear quite a few people complaining about all the rain we've had this Spring.

22C and mostly cloudy in Moncton at noontime.

Rain tonight and tomorrow, but, it should be clear on Canada Day for the fireworks.

^^ I know a few people that are starting to complain about Vancouver's "non-summer" this year, but I'm cool with it. Low to mid 20s is fine by me. I really don't appreciate high temps on the coast. The city isn't built for it. Kelowna, on the other hand, can handle the high heat no problem, so I can understand the complaints there.

It was around 21c yesterday.

Rainy day here, also.

This was earlier in the morning before the rain began.

A little later, whilst raining

Still cold out front but back is comfy now.

Not inviting myself to the BBQ this time, ha!

EDIT: Sun is behind the hills. I'm still freezing? What the fuck is going on? lol I cannot get warm. My heaters even cut in and they're set on FIVE DEGREES. But it says it's twice that? (yes, only twice lol). So the heaters are feeling whatever I am.

Saw this cutie couple weeks ago. Then again yesterday as I was watering the garden. It’s official, it lives in my backyard.

Bought this log splitter from some guy in Milton who looks like he works in construction based on his truck and all the things in his garage. He has 12 of these. Selling for $155 new in box. Retails for $300.

Super satisfying to hear that first pop from the wood cracking. BIL built one rack with leftover lumber and bought another. Hours later and we filled one. What else ya gonna do when the weather is shit?

Absolute garbage day.
17C and rainy! It is actually warmer tonight at 22C.

Low was achieved this afternoon, a super rare feat in late June.

Warmspot was Lytton, BC at 31.9C

Warmest low was Harrow, ON at 21.4C

More geese than people down at the beach today. Another cloudy day with some scattered showers.

Saturday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 21 C (24 C w/Humidex), the low was 15 C.

Beautiful!

Edit: It's freezing again here. I've given up, closed all the windows, and turned the heat up to 18C. I'm not doing another day uncomfortable lol

Edit 2: The unacceptable chill is GONE outside! Yay! It's not warm, but it's not numbing anymore.

19C and partly cloudy in Moncton at noontime.

The forecast for last night and today had been for pretty steady rain, but, the precipitation seems to have headed off to the east instead, and, all Moncton got was overcast and drizzle. This is too bad. I would have preferred the 25-30 mm of rain they had forecasted, just to help replenish soil moisture. There is no precipitation in the forecast period except for maybe some showers next weekend.

PS - I also really like that foggy morning photo by TownGuy - very atmospheric (pun intended)!!!

Wow... we get most of our precipitation in the winter, but I guess with climate change those types of storms in summer will be getting increasingly common.

Quote:
Prolonged, significant rainfall is expected.

Total rainfall: 50 to 100 mm, with potential for locally higher amounts.

Locations: Avalon and Burin Peninsulas.

Time span: Monday through Wednesday (most intense on Tuesday and Tuesday night).

Similar events in the past have led to:
- localized flooding, especially in locations with poor drainage
- elevated water levels in creeks and streams, at times flowing over the banks
- water pooling on roads, and erosion of road shoulders

Remarks: Repeated pulses of rain, at times heavy, are expected to impact eastern Newfoundland over the next few days. With the ground already nearly saturated from earlier rainfall, the risk of flooding is heightened in some areas.

It's definitely more pleasant for day-to-day things (and way better for sleeping) than 30+ degree weather, though some sun & heat for a good beach day once in a while would still be appreciated.

Anyway, mix of sun and cloud and a bit of rain all weekend. Not too hot, but has been feeling very humid.
