Lake Austin Blvd. with Muni and the Brackenridge tract looks like a rural highway. It took me a minute to figure out where that photo was taken.

It only solidifies my belief that entire part of town needs to be reimagined, and should absolutely include thousands of new homes built in an urban manner.

Couldn't agree more. That and, well, all of West Austin. I'm talking around 2222/620/360. Urbanize all of that in a way that doesn't mess with nature.

I think our skyline is very American. We have Red buildings, White buildings, and Blue buildings.

That one shows a great delineation between Campus/West Campus and DT. Awesome shot!

Great updates! It’s crazy how much different the city looks from that angle as compared to viewing from the west.

Looks like two separate cities forming side-by-side. Conrad would have been great to visually connect Rainey with Downtown.

Agreed, and it would have been great from the street level as well. There's obviously not much you can do about the existence of the convention center creating a gap between things. But in addition to the Marriott, and Hanover on Brazos, that area between Cesar Chavez and 3rd/4th could certainly still use more life (that doesn't take the form of parking garages and vacant restaurants).
