I definitely feel like a grocery store is bound to happen in that area wether its Moon or Releve

Thanks for the update. Summer 2025 wouldn't be too bad. Relevé residents will start moving Spring 2025, so a few months with no easy access to a grocery store.

Fingers crossed it works out so that M+M can focus on getting other despratly needed retail in their block.

Walked by the tower the other day at night, and I have to say the lighting feature is really well done. I will try to go out soon to get nice pictures rather than the one that I took on my phone.

At least three Claridge signs on this one. At the top of the south tower facing LeBreton, above the first floor of the 8 storey section facing Albert and at the top of the 8 storey portion facing the Skyline Hotel (which is ironically now barely visible in the Skyline).

Took this short from the top of the Delta yesterday. I do like what they did with the two roof top terraces. Hope the trees have a chance to mature.

Moon turned out pretty great IMO! Clean modern look, integrated with the LRT station (the only one for now and maybe forever) and potentially a grocery store at ground level.

Trees and other plants in built up planters like those have a hard time surviving our climate. The roots freeze during winter and they die. Hopefully there’s a way for the roots to avoid freezing under the deck.

The black and white alternating stone on 2nd floor terrace reminds me of what was done at Tribeca on Metcalfe. Only those above ever get to see it.

With the hotels, residential and office towers all around, that's actually a lot of people.

From BlueJay on Skyrise, lighting complete.

Once these and the Releve towers are occupied, that should be a lot more residents & foot traffic in this part of the CBD.

Hopefully the Metro opens and this also pushes more businesses to open in this part of town. Seems like there is missing restaurants/fast food/coffee shops in the area (or at least some that are open outside of 9-5pm).

Easily a thousand more people to the area.

I agree, given the density of the Escarpment District (possibly the densest of all Ottawa neighbourhoods), it's shocking how little retail and services are available beyond a few restaurants and a Quickie.

I mean, we all joke about it but Shoppers is pretty food at filling many needs for nearby residents and is usually open pretty early/late & on weekends which is helpful.

I own a condo unit that has a Shoppers Drug Mart on the corner (a 5min walk) and it's been very helpful to send/receive packages, buy home stuff like toilet paper, grab some last minute bread or eggs if I forgot, etc.

Now they just need to sell fruit and you have yourself a Urban grocery store.

Hey, we agree for once! A small fruits and veggies section at Shoppers at urban Shoppers would be a huge help.

The number of conveniences stores and little shops/bodegas in Toronto I've come across selling fruits and veggies should indicate this is a viable option.

They have so much floor space dedicated to magazines instead. 20$ USB cables as well.

I wonder if Giant Tiger would ever consider a downtown location? They have their smaller-scale Express Mart in Hintonburg, and am am sure that not everyone that would move into the west end of Downtown have Farm Boy or Whole foods money to burn...
