I believe it was flar who told me two years ago about mulberry trees. I mentioned that I had two berry trees suddenly show up two years ago and that they were rapidly growing. They are well over 20 feet tall now and touching other trees. Going to lop off half of them come fall time. But, in the meantime, will eat some berries and maybe even make a jam or something like flar would. Not that I know how to do that or will even feel like taking the time to do it, but it's a nice thought. Would feel like a waste to not do anything with them.

The taller tree has way more berries and they are ripening. The other, as you can see, still has white berries, and not that many so far.

33C with a humidex of 43 and sunny. Scorching hot and love it. I don't care about the complains... this is infinitely better than the 4C in Calgary this morning for example.
People PAY for this kind of weather. People were out enjoying themselves just as much as a normal day (and definitely way more people were out today than when it's 15C)

Low of 22C (humidex of 29) this morning.

The warmspot was Chapleau, ON at 36.4C. New highest temperature in Canada this year.

Warmest low was Harrow, ON at 23.5C. Should be the new highest low once official for the next 24 hours. Downtown Montreal is 28.3C at midnight so Harrow's low will be the warmest for only 24 hours.

New humidex mark is 45.2 at Chapleau, ON.

New dewpoint mark is 24.6 in St. Catharines, ON.

I believe both marks could fall tomorrow.

Lovely. Surely it was in the vicinity of Ronald Dump’s casino.

It would be nice if other trees grew as fast as mulberry.

I don't know if I've made anything out of mulberries, I just go out and get a handful and throw them in my cereal. I only take the darkest, ripest berries for maximum sweetness. They're not packed with flavour like raspberries, but are good with something, like ice cream or cereal, and would be good in muffins or pancakes. The ripe ones fall off when you touch them.

Beautiful day. It started out overcast but then the skies cleared mid-day and it was warm, sunny and dry with a fresh ocean breeze.

Tuesday’s high at Vancouver Harbour was 19 C, the low was 13 C.

EC shows the highest temp in Ontario and Canada at 34.4 c yesterday in Pembroke

https://weather.gc.ca/provincialsumm...page=yesterday

You may enjoy these temps but they are not natural and are due in a large degree to climate change that society has caused. It isn't normal for example for it to be 26 c at 6 am in Moosonee in June.

19C and sunny in Moncton at 8 AM, going up to 34C this afternoon (humidex 43).

It's gonna be a scorcher!!!

My central air ran all last night, presumably dealing with all the retained heat radiating from the attic space built up from yesterday.

Jam is not difficult -equal parts fruit and sugar, a bit of lemon juice, pectin if you want it to be thicker and Bob's you uncle.

Look Ma, another activist!

Go outside and get some vitamin D. It'll make you feel better.

This sounds damn near perfect.

Currently 5c here on our way to sunshine and 22c, absolutely beautiful out. Might not hit the 30 degree mark by the weekend but definitely upper high 20's.

27 in Charlottetown right now, feels like 35. Gonna go up to 30 and feel like 39 this afternoon (around 15:00). This is not normal and is a result of a lack of care, one of which being poor urban planning practices throughout the 20th - 21st centuries.

Hasn't been so bad here so far. Winds were supposed to be pretty breezy out of the west/southwest, but winds have gone light, so a seabreeze has set up from the northeast, keeping temps along the coast at a reasonable 20'ish degrees.

I imagine at some point the winds will pick back up and things will go downhill from there.

18 today, 23-27 the rest of the week and into the weekend. Thankfully we are in a normal year. here. Fire risk is way down as well. Other than the extreme NW of the province.

June is our normal rainy month so expecting drier next moth with only thunderstorms.
Everything is so lush here now. Mosquitoes are remarkably low but I expect an explosion in the next few week. And even though the temps have been cool my gardens are going great. Lilacs are still blooming. Next week should really kick the garnes into high gear.
