TWN had three nights in a row at 27.for Leamington, but the forecast has been reduced by a couple degrees again. Not really a heatwave near the Lake Erie shore, these are typical summer temps. Overnight temps are generally in the 20s once the lake warms up, while highs are rarely above 32. It will still be mid 30s in the rest of the Windsor-Chatham-Sarnia area for the next few days.
My weather station records about 20-25 lows over 20 "officially". It's a fairly difficult threshold to reach because you basically need two nights in a row without thunderstorms. One overnight thunderstorm can reduce the low below 20 for a short time and affect the stats for two days. I need to find a way to comb the data and find out how often it's actually 20+ overnight.
