PITTSBURGH | Pitt Victory Heights, Sports Performance & Recreation and Wellness Cntr

The University of Pittsburgh is currently constructing the three complexes simultaneously. All three are built into a steep hillside overlooking the main campus. Pitt ensured connectivity between the upper and lower campus by creating pedestrian friendly pathways through all three structures. The Arena is topped with a green roof complete with meandering pathways connecting all three structures. This complex is build next to the University of Pittsburgh Peterson Events Center.

The recreation and wellness center sits at the base of the hillside (pictured). The arena structure is partially imbedded into the steep hillside and topped with a green roof. The Sports Performance Center will sit above the green roof the arena. All three structures will connect with interior and exterior pedestrian pathways.

Nice glass detailing, It adds some interest to an otherwise pretty chunky building.
