However,
I have gone on a few occasions to this R&R on Portage Ave.
Each one was very good.
Breakfast, Soups, entrees were Enjoyed by some very finicky friends on a few occasions including myself.
It is true. There are few places like this.
Many new places serve spicy or exotic food that is not for everyone and many of those take a risk and not always successful.

Copper Chimney. It's an East Indian Themed restaurant that has an existing location on Madison and Ness by Polo Park.

If I am not mistaken that location was also a Perkins at one time.

It was only a matter of time for that lot at Good St. and St. Mary Ave. Amazing how that little 2-3 block radius is a new sleeper density powerhouse.

I assume the building on Good will be another horizontal tower like the other building.

sounds *good* to me

hur hur hur

of course I prefer my towers vertical but filling that lot will be a huge plus. It would be nice if canada life could work out something similar for its own parking lots now that there's a lot of progress happening in the area, but certainly not holding my breath.

The City should put the BRT along the rail line and go through the Nutty Club building. Like they do in Japan and such. les .net is in the other building though IIRC.

TrueViking, when can we expect a word or two on your big projects? Anything soon are we waiting until the fall?

Hmm. Possible that foreknowledge of this played a role in Richardson's planned TNS rival around that corner?

That'd be slick. I would love to see a city planner or architect's dream renewal of that area around William Stephenson/Portage East. I love the speculation on this forum, it's super fun.

If my memory serves me correctly, I'm pretty sure that there were a few articles written about how not opening P&M killed several multimillion dollar projects. Now that it's opening, we should be hearing some announcements shortly.

Anyone have any sauce on what those plans would have looked like?
