This was taken the other day... beautiful Red Cardinal

Low of 20C (humidex of 24) this morning. More clouds but they cleared by noon.

The warmspot was Debert, NS at 29.2C.

Warmest low was Nicolet, QC at 19.9C. Could be the new high low if it holds. Once again, we will see tomorrow.

In the end all the Ontario stations fell below 20C before midnight. Point Pelee, ON remained the warmest at 19.6C which is the new highest low this year.
Well, it’s not really the warmest low this year, Windsor only dropped down to 22.2C the other night, all hourly temps were at or above that number all night, so it definitely didn’t drop much beyond that in that one hour. Unfortunately, the official low recorded for the day was obviously the morning before, so an entire night in the 20s goes without being officially acknowledged.

15C and sunny in Moncton at 8 AM, going up to 27C this afternoon. The humidity present for the last several days has resolved.

More severe thunderstorms in NB last evening (but not in Moncton). Tornado watches were issued for Victoria County and the Renous Highway. Someone in northwestern NB posted a pretty convincing video on social media of a funnel cloud (which didn't touch down).

That happens all the time because the Environment Canada cutoff is at 2am the following night. You basically need two nights in a row to be official.

Nevertheless, my own weather stations (I have two actually) registered lows of 20.8 and 20.7 using a midnight cutoff

Riding home in the bus, that stretch from the Village to Craigmillar, looking out it was SO green with leaves., And even the Southside Hills looked late-spring lush.

But when you really stop, take out the phone to get a picture, it's hard to find the leaves now I'm home. So it was a rosy glasses vibe, but still. It's something. Felt VERY striking on the ride home today.

19C and mainly sunny. Gusty.

Low of 16C this morning. Cloudy in the morning before it cleared. We might have had a small passing shower around 8AM.

The warmspot was Windsor, ON at 27.4C

Warmest low was Port Weller, ON at 15.8C.

Lac St Pierre and Nicolet fell below 19C so the title of warmest low on the year remains in Harrow, ON at 19.6C.

Downtown Montreal recorded a dewpoint of 22.4C the other day (May 22). Highest dewpoint on the year.

Cloudy and 9 at 12:30pm. Winds this afternoon will switch from easterly to southwesterly, bringing the temperatures up with it, highs near 15 expected. Back to a northerly flow for tomorrow and Monday before a southwesterly flow sets up once again, with above seasonal temperatures for pretty much the rest of next week.

YYT could hit 20 for the first this the year either on Wednesday or Thursday.

Sunny morning then some rain rolled through. These were taken on or around Doube's Trestle Bridge, near Peterborough.

Threatening clouds

Low of 10C this morning. A chilly one but to be expected, it's still May.

Parts of Southern Manitoba had some snow today??? What in the actual fuck!

I caught another rare one - the Laughing Gull. Seems to breed as far north as the Maritimes, but the range map doesn't indicate it being here.

And another couple new-to-me ones, Killdeer, and Yellow-rumped Warbler, which breed here.
